Ford Capri 1.6 Laser, 69000 miles and 4 previous owners from new. This car has been dry stored since 2012 in a very dry garage as it rolled out no problem when we collected it last week. We got the car up and running today and it starts stops , runs and drives. It will need a good checkover but in the main it looks a decent example.

 

Body - Capri Laser shell. Original floors, sills, arches, boot floor. Has had repairs on strut tops in the past and a repair on top of the drivers door post. Underneath is very good. Needs a bit of a wirebrush in bits but no holes or rot. Jacking points have the usual dents but overall very good. Paintwork has survived well and the car is very presentable. There is a bit of bubbling on nsr lower quarter that will need attended to and a few storage marks here and there.  Overall a decent looking old car

 

Interior - Original interior in fairly good order. Seats, door cards and carpet are good. Dash has a crack on top. Headlining is good. Parcel shelf has been covered .

 

Mechanics - Good quiet 1.6 Pinto and 5 Speed box. Clutch is good. Brakes work but whole car will need a checkover as been sitting since 2012. Engine runs fine but will need serviced and a timing belt. Heater works on both speeds. Sunroof slides and tilts but winder handle is snapped. 

 

Wheels -  Standard Laser Alloys in decent order. Tyres will probably need replaced due to age.
