Ford Cortina MK1 2 Door - Imported from South Africa about 5 years ago and fully UK registered. Current owner has only done about 300 miles in the last few years and has decided to sell it. Its a solid old car but will need a light restoration / tidy up. 

 

Body - Export spec 2 Door Cortina shell with extra strengthening on strut tops. Overall a decent old shell with original inner wings, strut tops. Floors look good, Boot floor is good. Looks like its had previous repairs on bottoms of wings and ends of sills which will need sorting out. Bit of bubbling round arches, door bottoms lower quarters Paintwork is ok but definitely no show car. 

 

Mechanics - Car starts runs and drives. Engine sounds fines. Gearbox, clutch and brakes are good. The car has been used fairly recently but as with any old car it s sensible to give it a good checkover.

 

Interior - Front seats have been replaced but the originals are available. Good rear seats , door cards and headlining. Sunvisors are missing

 

Wheels - Lotus style deep dish wheels with good tyres.

 

This car does need a bit of a cosmetic restoration but its a good starting point. Please feel free to come and see it. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
