Ford Cortina MK3 Pickup, Factory fitted 2,5 V6 Essex engine. Solid original old truck just in from South Africa. All tax and duty paid and NOVA declaration done. Has the rare early styleside back on it. We will complete all the UK registration paperwork in the new owners name. Starts runs and drives and was in use but will need a good checkover.

 

Body - Factory built MK3 pickup. These pickups were not available here and are very rare with probably less than 20 in the UK. The body is very solid and has the rare styleside back incorporating the MK3 rear lights. Its nice and straight with no signs of filler. Paintwork is OK. Its no show winner, but perfectly useable for a truck. There are a few marks here and there as you would expect on something this age. Overall a very straight solid original body. Couple of minor repairs needed at rear floor on cab, but we can do these if required.

 

Mechanics - Good 2.5 V6 Essex engine. Clutch and brakes are good. Automatic choke which is still connected as is the heater. Still has its original 4 speed box and running gear. Starts runs and drives OK. Appears to have been well looked after over the years. May need the carb adjusted due to the different climate and as with any old vehicle will need a good checkover.

 

Interior - Good dash top, carpet and headlining. Bench seat and door cards look to have been retrimmed. Seat is fine. door cards a bit cheap looking. Knobs are missing from both winder handles. overall a tidy looking old truck inside 

 

Wheels - Standard steels with original hubcaps.
