Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Sport. RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Nova declaration has been done and we will complete all the Uk registration paperwork in the new owners name. This one is a very solid car which appears to have had a bit money spent on it fairly recently

 

Body - Export spec 1600 Sport shell with extra strengthening similar to our RS models. Good original inner wings, strut tops, sills, arches, floors, boot wells. Has all been painted body colour underneath. no signs of any nasty patches. Looks a very good shell. Paintwork is very nice. Really good looking old car. Mexico front spoiler, rubber boot spoiler. 2 up 2 down spotlights.

 

Mechanics - Good 1600 crossflow with twin 40s fitted. Starts runs and drives. Will need a session on the rolling road. Smooth enough but should be quicker with the 40s on it. 5 speed box fitted. Poly bushing on front. New TCAS, recent shocks, exhaust looks new. Everything looks like its been cleaned and painted.

 

Interior - Seats have been retrimmed. Tidy enough job but not original. Good door cards, carpet and headlining.

 

Wheels - Standard deep dish afriucxan sport steels with 205/60/13 tyres. Probably be better on 175s or 185s
