1981 Ford Capri 1.6 GL. This car was last on the road in 2011. Its done 76000 miles. we have the V5 and keys but no history. It starts runs and drives but will need a fairly easy restoration.
Body - MK3 Capri shell. Good inner wings , strut tops, door pillars. Boot floor looks solid. Will need work on 3 or 4 small areas on the floor. Doesnt look like its been patched before. Inside doors have a bit bubbling on them. Fronts of both wings need repaired or wings replaced. Bit bubbling on arches as well but arches are saveable. Paintwork is past its best for sure. Cracking unmarked vinyl roof. No lumps or bumps under the vinyl.
Mechanics - All looks standard as it left the factory. Does start and run but will need a timing belt and a good service before using it properly. Engine and gearbox sound fine. Clutch and brakes work. Hanbrake sticks if you put it on.
Interior - The full interior looks to me to be from a MK2 Capri Ghia. In the main its in good order just needing a clean. The dash has cracks round the speaker area. Passenger front seat has had a small repair. Door cards are good.
Wheels - Standard Dart board style wheels with chrome trim rings.
This car wouldnt take much to get it on the road and useable but really it wants a bit of a restoration. Please feel free to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
