1983 Ford Cortina 3.0 GLS 4 speed Manual. This is a factory built car from South Africa which came from the Free State which is one of the dryest of the dry parts of the country. The import duty has been paid and NOVA declaration done. The UK registration has been applied for. Its never been welded and is superb underneath. Engine is the quietest running 3.0 we have heard. Few marks on paint that will need addressed.

Body - Cortina Mark 5 shell with uprated 5 link rear axle set up found on 3.0 South African cars. Underneath is solid and like the day it left the factory. No signs of any rust on the underside and is as good and original a shell as you are likely to find. Paint looks original and has a few minor marks. Rub through on nsr arch, small ding on bonnet and also a paint chip on front, Rust bubble on osf scuttle panel, various stone chips on lower quarters. SA spec full chrome bumpers in good order. Towbar fitted which can be removed if needed. One piece of chrome trim missing round rear light.

Mechanics - Quietest, sweetest sounding 3.0 we have heard in a long time. Standard 4 speed gearbox, Standard running gear. 3.0 Cortinas used granada brakes from factory. 5 link rear axle set up. Car starts runs and drives. As with any old car its worth giving it a good checkover prior to using it in anger. Carb may need adjusted due to the different climate.

Interior - Al standard and in good order. Possibly not the best colour combination but no nasty rips or tears.

Wheels - Cortina Ghia Alloys with good 175/70/13 tyres. Centre caps are missing
