Ford Cortina  MK4 3.0. RHD Import from South Africa. Very solid car which would benefit from a bit of a cosmetic tidy up. All tax and duty paid and NOVA done. We will assist the new owner with UK registering it in their name.

 

Body - Mk4 Cortina shell - Original inner wings, floors, sills arches etc. Structurally the car is very original with no signs of any previous welding. Will need a repair in spare wheel well otherwise very good. Slight bubbling on rear arch . Paintwork looks ok from a distance but the reality is its a bit of a budget job and could be better. S stripes and badges but i dont know if its an original one. 

 

Mechanics - Good 3.0 engine. Little bit smoky on start up but seems to clear after it warns up a bit.  Starts runs and drives but we have only driven it round the yard as not uk registered etc. Will need a good checkover mechanically as with any old vehicle. It was still in use in South Africa. Brakes clutch and gearbox seem OK

 

Interior - Good front and back seats, dashtop and headlining. Front door cards have speaker holes cut. Needs a good scrub inside but perfectly useable.

 

Wheels - Horrible aftermarket carlos fandango rims......
