Ford Escort Mk2 1.1 with only 9419 miles from new. Genuine car in Cordoba Biege which has been dry stored since 1989 until fairly recently when we rescued it. The car was bought new from Days of Lowestoft in September 1989 by a Mr Denis Butler who we got the car from. We have the original bill of sale here showing a price of £3100.95 The car was used for short trips until 1989 when it was put in the garage with just over 9000 miles on it. We have the old MOTs from 82 when it would have had its first MOT till 1989 when it was taken off the road. We have the spare key for the car. Still has the original jack in its bag in the boot and original boot carpet.

 

Interior - The Interior is totally original and mint as you would expect. Steering wheel, pedal rubbers, seats, carpet etc all back up the mileage. It still has that new smell inside.

 

Mechanics - All totally standard as it left the factory. We have fitted a new fuel pump as the old one was not lifting the fuel, fresh fuel and have serviced it so its up and running as it should be. 

 

Body - All original panels as you would expect , totally rot free underneath and solid throughout. Spare wheel well is like the day it left the factory. Externally the car has picked up a few minor scars from storage / car park dings. There is evidence of a bit paintwork on corners of front wings and osr lower quarter. To make it mint it would really need a paint. 

 

Wheels - Original steels which we have had tidied up as the had a few spots of surface rust. New tyres also fitted as old ones were cracked and unserviceable. Spare wheel has never been on i dont think.
