Ford Escort Mk2 1600  .RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Nova declaration has been done and we will complete all the Uk registration paperwork in the new owners name. This one is not too bad underneath but will need a full restoration

 

Body - Mk2 Escort 2 Door shell . Good original inner wings, strut tops, sills, arches. Front floors and boot wells have been repaired in the past. All the repairs are solid but have been done with flat plate rather than proper contoured panels and just look wrong. Tunnel has been enlarged at some point as well which needs sorting out. Each end of the slam panel has had a repair and again will need sorting. Rear floors, chassis rails, rear arches are good. Good doors on the car Paintwork is awful as is the rear spoiler. This car definitely needs pulled to pieces and restored. The bits that have not been repaired are really good. This will make a decent shell once done.

 

Mechanics - Good 1600 crossflow and  4 speed box. Starts and runs but currently wouldnt want to be seen dead in it. Will need all the mechanical bits checked and expect to have to replace quite a bit. This car had vw calipers and discs fitted which are now in the boot as we couldnt get the wheels to fit over them.

 

Interior - Its got one but mostly horrible apart from a set of sport clocks.

 

Wheels - 7" Compomotive Alloys

 

This is a restoration project for sure but it has potential as the non botched bits are pretty good. Please feel free to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. please ask for a quote
